Wystawa „FRAGMENTY” / Karolina Miller

O wystawie:
Podróż Karoliny po krainie kolażu rozpoczęła się pod koniec 2019 roku. Jej twórczość charakteryzują minimalizm, centralna kompozycja, skupienie na człowieku i jego emocjach.
Elementem, który często pojawia się w jej pracach, są oczy, będące tutaj nie tylko tradycyjnie zwierciadłem duszy. W pracach autorki z jednej strony patrzą na widza, a z drugiej zachęcają do odwzajemnienia spojrzenia, wglądu w sztukę oraz w siebie. Niektóre mówią „widzę Cię!”, a inne przymknięte pozwalają widzowi umknąć niepostrzeżenie.
Wystawa „Fragmenty” to podróż po krainie wyobraźni. Pokazuje fragmentaryczność i zmienność życia, a zarazem – z kolejnymi odkrywanymi warstwami i elementami – pozwala widzieć rzeczywistość w wielu, często nowych, wymiarach. Dla autorki kolaż to strefa wolności, ekspresji i emocji ujętych w obrazy. To także forma dialogu, który ma zachęcać odbiorcę do własnej interpretacji.

O autorce:
Karolina Miller – z wykształcenia politolożka i specjalistka w dziedzinie stosunków międzynarodowych. Na co dzień zarządza zespołem w jednej z międzynarodowych korporacji i opowiada nowe historie w swoich kolażach.


About the exhibition (english):
Karolina’s journey through the world of collage began at the end of 2019. Her work is characterized by minimalism, central composition, and focus on people and their emotions.
An element that often appears in her works are the eyes, which play much greater part than being only the traditional mirror of the soul. In her works, on the one hand, the eyes look at the viewer, and on the other, they encourage the viewer to look back and gain insight into art and themselves. Some of them say „I can see you!”, while other are closed and allow the viewer to slip away unnoticed.
The „Fragments” exhibition is a journey through the land of imagination. It shows the fragmentariness and variability of life, and at the same time – with subsequent layers and elements being discovered – it allows to see reality in many, often new, dimensions. For the author, collage is a zone of freedom, expression and emotions captured in images. It is also a form of dialogue that is meant to encourage the viewers to make their own interpretation.

About the author:
Karolina Miller – by education political scientist and specialist in international relations. On a daily basis she manages a team in one of the international corporations and tells new stories in her collages.
